Mark Greenway: Napalm Death Tidak Akan Mengambil Keuntungan Komersial
Album terbaru Napalm Death, Apex Predator - Easy Meat menurut vokalis Mark "Barney" Greenway adalah album terlaris mereka sepanjang sejarah. Meskipun begitu, dedengkot grindcore asal Inggris itu tidak ingin Napalm Death menjadi band komersil meskipun sekarang adalah kesempatan yang tepat. Dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Metal Marks dari SkullsNBones, Barney mengatakan: "Ini bukan sekedar perasaan. Maksud saya, Saat ini kami menjual rekaman lebih banyak dari yang pernah kami alami sebelumnya. Dan bukan cuma piringan hitam. Bagi kami, baik piringan hitam, CD... semua terjual dengan sangat-sangat baik. Dan ketika kalian berpendapat kami tidak melakukan apa pun untuk mendapatkan keuntungan komersial. Sebenarnya, kami membuang semua hal yang memungkinkan kami untuk mendapatkan keuntungan komersial, karena etos kami. Saya pikir, itu semacam mempengaruhi pikiran. Ini akan membuktikan bahwa anda berpegang pada apa yang ingin anda lakukan dan bukan sesuatu yang mungkin membuat anda tidak nyaman dengan itu. Anda hidup atau mati berdasarkan keputusan anda sendiri."
Album Apex Predator - Easy Meat memang mendapat respon positif dari para pendengar. Album ini pertama diluncurkan pada 23 Januari lalu via Century Media Records. Artwork album yang dirancang oleh Frode Slythe juga sangat menarik dan sepertinya membantu penjualan album.

Video: The Pretty Reckless - Going To Hell
Video dari band hard rock asal New York yang dipimpin oleh pemeran serial TV Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless "Going To Hell":
Coal Chamber Umumkan Tanggal Perilisan Album
Setelah tiga belas tahun tidak mengeluarkan album, band asal Amerika Serikat, Coal Chamber telah siap untuk menggebrak dengan album baru mereka yang berjudul Rivals. Rivals akan diluncurkan pada 19 Mei nanti via Napalm Records
Vokalis Coal Chamber, Dez Fafara mengatakan bahwa album mereka tidak akan mengecewakan. "Rekaman ini sudah memakan waktu 13 tahun dan saya berjanji bahwa rekaman ini tidak akan mengecewakan dan tidak sia-sia menunggu!" ungkap Fafara.
Coal Chamber sebenarnya adalah nama lama yang telah lama hilang. Mereka sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1993. Coal Cahmber mengumumkan bubar pada tahun 2002 setelah insiden perkelahian Fafara dengan bassis Miguel Rascón di atas panggung. Fafara pun waktu itu mengatakan bahwa itu adalah pentas terakhir Coal Chamber.
Patut ditunggu bagaimana album baru mereka nanti. Let's sit and wait!

Yngwie Malmsteen Garap Album Baru
Legenda gitar asal Swedia, Yngwie Malmsteen dikabarkan tengah menggarap album barunya. Fakta ini didapatkan berdasarkan wawancara kepada Yngwie oleh sebuah stasiun radio Australia, 3D Radio. Pada wawancara tersebut, Yngwie menjelaskan bahwa dirinya sedang berada di studio rekaman yang tidak lain berada di rumahnya sendiri.
Pada wawancara tersebut, Yngwie juga menjelaskan proses rekaman pada era modern seperti sekarang juga berbeda dengan dulu. Sekarang dia bisa melakukan rekaman kapan saja saat sedang mempunyai ide. Berbeda dengan dulu yang prosesnya jauh lebih rumit.
Pada albumnya yang baru nanti, Yngwie juga mengatakan bahwa adanya kemungkinan menggandeng artis lain, sperti Nick Marino.

Band heavy metal asal Amerika Serikat, All That Remains dijadwalkan akan meluncurkan album ketujuh mereka yang berjudul The Order of Things pada pertengahan Februari nanti. Sebelum merilis album, kali ini mereka terlebih dahulu merilis video dari single mereka, This Probably Won't End Well.
